
Design Brief
Superbrain Organics was created from the owners passion for education and nutrition. The owners wanted to provide a healthy alternative for busy families and individuals who value healthy eating while living their busy lives. They strive to create ethically sourced products that fuel your body and mind while also protecting mother earth. The company believes in three core principles: Be Just, Be Kind, and Keep Learning. Our team was tasked with creating branding, logo design, packaging design, and website design.



Research
Our team researched extensively as we delve into the market of organic food and packaging designs as well as children's vitamin's and supplements. We looked for packaging that was playful yet informative. We also researched various packaging that included characters and fun illustrations.



Sketches
At the start of this project, our team created various AI generated ideas to encapsulate the image the owners had in their mind of their brand and packaging design. With these I sketch some other ideas for characters that could also be used in the brand. Through this generation we found the basis for our logo as well as the direction we wanted to proceed with. After developing our logo, we worked to create various packaging options that would fully encompass the brands message and princples.



Digital Iterations
During our digital iterations, we worked to created various options for packaging front layouts as well as back panel layouts to ensure we follow regulatory guidelines by the FDA.




Typography
We selected a fun and inviting font for our logo, pairing it with a chalkboard-style font to emphasize one of the company’s core principles: "Keep Learning." The chalkboard font evokes a sense of education and nostalgia, bringing to mind memories of classrooms and the joy of discovery.
Color Palette
Our team chose colors that were vibrant and fun.
The owners decided they wanted to deviate from the normal colors seen on organic food packaging such as greens and browns and create a color combination that was both engaging and eye catching.

Iconography
For our icons, we wanted to capture the sense of magic and learning, inspired by how the powder turns blue in water and pink when lemon is added. This transformation perfectly symbolizes the magic of discovery and the excitement of learning. We also chose icons that were cohesive with our brand and logo, ensuring a unified design throughout.
